Historic village
FROM JB:
It's like going back in time when you visit the Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife Park. Homes and other buildings date back to 1765. Yes, that's the actual time period. Take a look as we go inside some of the buildings and get a lesson in history with the people in costume working like people did back in the day. We walk through the chapel, the 1890s schoolhouse, the quilting room and more. It's 23 acres of history that you need to check out while in the area. Best of all, there's a gift shop where you can buy works of art by local artists. It's fascinating.

During the tour I'm told this is a popular place for people to have their wedding photos taken. It didn't look like anybody was doing it this day but the clouds and pouring rain interrupted the afternoon so maybe it was a good thing no brides got soaking wet!
